ASME NQA-1 Orbit Industries' NQA-1 Quality Assurance program was implemented in 1994. Since then we have developed our Quality Assurance Program to comply with Provisions and Guidelines for Quality Control in the manufacturing and design process of nuclear and non-nuclear components as put forth in ASME NQA-1.
High Pressure Wash Ring Above, a high pressure (2500 psi) wash ring fabricated from T-316L stainless steel to customers specification, then pickled and passivated in our passivating facility per ASTM A-380. The spray ring is designed to decontaminate 65 foot long temperature probes as they are being removed from the High Level Waste Underground Storage Tanks at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington State. |
Flexible Receiver
This Flexible Receiver Assembly is used to enclose the temperature probe in a bag as it is pulled from the waste tank. The unit is controlled remotely and viewed via three video cameras. This project was fabricated, machined, assembled, and tested at our facility prior to shipment to the Hanford Site. The (above) assembly is used in conjunction the the High Pressure Wash Ring (left). During actual operation, the Wash Ring is bolted to the waste tank riser beneath the Flexible Receiver.

Inconel Retort
Shown above, this Retort is fabricated from Inconel Alloys 602, 601, and 600. It is one of a series of five Retort assemblies. While in use, the retorts are heated to 2500° F. The Retorts were fabricated, machined , then Pressure Decay Leak Tested using Nitrogen. Door Assemblies and Hinge Assemblies for the Retorts were also fabricated using our ASME NQA-1 Quality Control Program.
